Maryland provides an unprecedented environment of opportunity for the State’s industry and academic institutes to link to cutting edge federal research collaborations, technology transfer and licensing. In addition, federal labs have unmet needs and could find solutions within the existing resources of our State’s bioscience cluster. 

Federal Connection is a program under development that will:

• Coordinate the State’s efforts to capture significant federal life sciences opportunities by bringing together decision makers in state and local government with vested stakeholders in the academic and private sectors


• Provide a virtual resource center to Maryland bioentrepreneurs and established enterprises to access federally sponsored research programs


• Establish a network among federal, academic and industry researchers to leverage common interest commercialization opportunities
