The commercialization of biotechnology products can be a long and capital intensive process. The Center assists these initiatives by providing several funding programs targeted to private companies, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations – all key contributors to the growth of the State's bioscience cluster.
Center awards are designed to stimulate translational research, assist companies with their late-stage commercialization objectives, and help academic or non-profit organizations develop shared resources for industry collaboration. Details can be found on the specific program applications.
There will be two review cycles for these awards. After the application deadline, the most promising applications will be invited to the Maryland Biotechnology Center to present their project to an evaluation committee.
