Biotechnology is an ever-changing ever-growing industry with every company having different workforce needs. By working closely with our partner training providers the Center can act as your training consultant and design customized training programs that address your specific workforce training requirements.
Our partner training institutions and organizations offer associate degrees, certificates, continuing education, and transfer programs. Versatility built into the training programs through the Maryland Higher Education Network ensures that while certain campuses feature different bioscience programs, the physical location of an employer does not impede access to these programs. Custom tailored workforce training can also take place at an employer’s site.
Moreover, basic curricula have been developed to serve as a foundation for a company’s training needs and can be supplemented by custom programs tailored to fit the company’s specific requirements. Maryland's training professionals can also introduce the company to a network of public and private resources for assistance in determining staffing and training needs, developing training plans, and procuring effective and cost-efficient training.

The Maryland Biotechnology Training Consortium
The Maryland Biotechnology Training Consortium consists of a variety of providers that individually and in partnership, will customize training programs to meet the requirements of Maryland’s bioscience employers. The Maryland Biotechnology Center will serve as a point of entry to this service, and will coordinate the various providers to meet your workforce needs.
